Three eco-lodges for a slower Uganda safari
Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge sits high on the southern edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, with long views over the canopy and the Virunga line on clear days. It’s a simple, practical base for gorilla trekking via the Nkuringo and Rushaga sectors—then a warm return: quiet rooms, good rest, and hosting that keeps the day feeling easy.
Mirima Kibale Lodge spreads on a forested ridge near Kibale National Park, looking out over a crater lake and soft hills beyond. Built in timber and stone by local artisans, it pairs clean contemporary design with the comfort that matters after time on the trails; cottages featuring fireplaces, space to exhale, and a calm rhythm that suits chimp trekking mornings.

Destinations

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
UNESCO-listed rainforest, famed for mountain gorillas and extraordinary biodiversity. Steep trails and misty ridgelines make every trek feel earned, intimate, and quiet.
Kibale National Park
Evergreen forest known for chimp tracking and one of Africa’s richest primate line-ups. Guided walks move through canopy shade and birdsong, with surprises at every turn.
Entebbe
