At Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge, the view does a lot of the work: cottages on a ridge where Bwindi’s canopy falls away below you, and the Virunga chain can appear in the distance when the weather opens. Inside, comfort is built for cool evenings and early starts—stone walls, a fireplace, and hot water bottles that make deep sleep feel simple. When you want things handled quietly, there’s on-call butler service and complimentary tea or coffee delivered to your room, so the morning can begin without fuss. You’ll feel it in the way things happen here—quietly, with local knowledge and familiar hands, more like being hosted than “served.” Choose between Deluxe Garden Cottages for classic cottage calm, Luxury Forest Suites for more space and a forest-edge feel, or Family Villas when you want to travel together with breathing room. Rates are all-inclusive, with permits, transfers, and selected activities added depending on how you’re travelling.
Choose your cosy room
Begin with the room that matches your rhythm—garden calm, forest-edge privacy, or space for family—then glance at the rates beneath each one for the right season and occupancy. Adult sharing is priced per person, per night when two adults share; Single adult is for sole occupancy. Family Villas are priced per villa, per night for 3 or 4 guests. If you’re travelling as three, triples are possible—the third guest is charged at the per-person sharing rate. Child rates apply for ages 6–14.
Deluxe Garden Cottages
Stone-built and set in vibrant gardens, these 45-square-meter cottages feel warm and grounded—volcanic rock under soft light, African-inspired décor, and a fireplace that makes cool ridge evenings easy. Each cottage sleeps up to two guests and opens onto a large private veranda, oriented toward either the Bwindi Forest canopy or the Virunga peaks, depending on where you land on the ridge. It’s the simplest way to stay at Nkuringo: quiet, cozy, and made for early nights and misty mornings.

Luxury Forest Suites
Set along the forest edge, these spacious 90-square-meter suites are designed for slowing down—floor-to-ceiling glass drawing the canopy close, and elegant interiors that feel calm rather than showy. Perfect for honeymooners and couples seeking indulgence, each suite accommodates up to two guests and promises a romantic, secluded escape. Inside you’ll find a private lounge, an in-room fireplace for cool ridge nights, a minibar, and a bathtub positioned for panoramic views.

Family Villas
Made for families and small groups who want to stay connected without feeling crowded, the Family Villas are two interconnected bedrooms with private bathrooms and a fireplace. Each bedroom accommodates up to three guests, and the expansive verandas open the view across the hills and forest canopy—so even downtime still feels like Bwindi. It’s an easy rhythm: shared time when you want it, real quiet when you don’t.

What's Included
What’s included The rate is all-inclusive—so once you’ve chosen your room, you can relax into the simple rhythm of being looked after. And because this place is part of a living community, a $10 per person, per night contribution to the Gorilla Junction Foundation Fund is simply built into every stay. It’s a quiet way to belong for a few days—helping community work continue while you’re here.

Seasons & child policy
In Bwindi, “season” is mostly about demand and weather conditions. High season is when more travelers are on the move (during holiday windows and drier months), so rates are higher, and rooms book out quickly. The low season is typically quieter and can bring more rain. Therefore, it’s often a better value, with the same room and inclusions—just a different feel to the days.
- Low season: March–May and October–November.
- High season: January–February, June–September, and December.
Child policy:
Children aged 0–5 stay free when sharing with one or two adults (maximum two children per room).
Ages 6–14 are charged at the child rate shown under each room.
Age 15+ are charged as adults.
Booking terms
To confirm your booking, we take a 30% deposit. The remaining balance is due 30 days before check-in (unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing).
If you need to cancel, what you pay depends on how close it is to your arrival date. If you cancel 60 days or more before you arrive, we keep the deposit. If you cancel 59 to 30 days before arrival, you pay 50% of the booking total. If you cancel 29 days or less before arrival, the booking is fully payable.
One last practical note: if we’re holding dates for you and the deposit isn’t received by the due date, we may release the room. If we refund money, bank charges are deducted, and if government taxes or levies change, rates may need to change too.
